Kansas conscience protection bill becomes law

Governor Sam Brownback of Kanasa has signed a bill that prevents anyone from being forced to provide a drug or device that he “reasonably believes may result in the termination of a pregnancy.”  The bill now becomes law. [Reuters]

Protection of conscience bill passes in Kansas

The Kansas House of Represtentatives has passed a Substitute for SB62. The bill provides protection for conscientious objection by individuals or institutions to participation in or referral for procedures, drugs or devices that may terminate pregnancies. [NECN.com]

Protection of conscience bill introduced in Kansas

A protection of conscience bill, Kansas House Bill No.  2523, introduced by Rep. Steve Brunk in the Kansas House of Representatives, is intended to ensure that medical professionals who refuse to participate in abortion are not fired or demoted. [CJ Online]
