THERE ARE OVER 1,300 vacant nursing and midwifery posts in Irish hospitals due to the HSE’s effective recruitment freeze, the INMO has said today.

  1. Given the shortage of nurses and midwives, it would seem imprudent for the state to demand that unwilling nurses or midwives participate in abortion.
