Sheridan and Lindsey Croasdale <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>         On May 2, 2019, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (\u201cHHS\u201d) Office of Civil Rights (\u201cOCR\u201d) <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/about\/news\/2019\/05\/02\/hhs-announces-final-conscience-rule-protecting-health-care-entities-and-individuals.html\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> the issuance of the final conscience rule, which prohibits discrimination of individuals on the basis of their exercise of conscience in HHS-funded programs. The rule has not yet been published in the Federal Register, but HHS has released an <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/final-conscience-rule.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">unofficial version of the document<\/a>. This rule will be effective 60 days after is it published in the Federal Register. . .
