On the other side, those who object to participating will not be forced to offer the service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder this bill, no health care provider will be required to provide medical assistance in dying,\u201d Health Minister Jane\u00a0Philpott told reporters Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>But some argue these assurances won\u2019t offer legal protection to health care workers whose consciences won\u2019t allow them to participate in assisted death. . .
