{"id":5344,"date":"2014-04-23T04:55:33","date_gmt":"2014-04-23T11:55:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.consciencelaws.org\/?p=5344"},"modified":"2018-03-05T22:40:08","modified_gmt":"2018-03-06T06:40:08","slug":"rcog-faculty-bars-prolife-doctors-from-receiving-its-degrees-and-diplomas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.consciencelaws.org\/?p=5344","title":{"rendered":"RCOG faculty bars prolife doctors from receiving its degrees and diplomas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"author\">\u00a0Dr. Peter Saunders<a href=\"https:\/\/www.consciencelaws.org\/authors.aspx#Peter_Saunders\">*<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Doctors and nurses who have a moral objection to prescribing &#8216;contraceptives&#8217; which act by killing human embryos are to be barred from receiving diplomas in sexual and reproductive health even if they undertake the necessary training according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fsrh.org\/pdfs\/DFSRHFormI.pdf\">new guidelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Under new rules issued by the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH) earlier this year these doctors and nurses are also to be barred from membership of the faculty and from specialty training.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fsrh.org\/\">FSRH<\/a> is a faculty of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists established on the 26th March 1993 as the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care. In 2007 it changed its name to the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.
